Let’s Play Two! Those were the words, spoken quite often by none other than Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks himself. Ernest “Ernie” Banks was born on January 31, 1931. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. The United States had an impressive opening weekend at the Sochi Olympics, capturing two Gold and three Bronze medals. That puts the US in a three way tie for second in the overall medal count early on in these Winter Games. Norway tops the field with seven medals, including two Golds of their own.
