HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL – The Windy City Bulls, presented by BMO Harris Bank, have announced their 2016-17 inaugural regular season game schedule, which will include 24 home games at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates. The Chicago Bulls NBA Development League affiliate’s 50-game slate launches with the team’s first home game on Friday, Nov. 11, when the Bulls welcome the Long Island Nets – one of the three new NBA Development League expansion teams, including Windy City – to the Sears Centre Arena. The game will mark the first of 16 Friday or Saturday home games throughout the season for the Windy City Bulls.
“We could not be happier with how our inaugural season schedule looks, from both the fan’s perspective and the player development side,” said Windy City Bulls President Brad Seymour. “To have over 65 percent of our home games fall on either a Friday or Saturday will ensure that we are an attractive entertainment option for the families of the Northwest Suburbs. We cannot wait to get started on November 11.”
Notable home games include a Wednesday, March 8 matinee when the Windy City Bulls host an “Education Day” game at 10 a.m. against the Greensboro Swarm. Local schools will be invited to join the team for a game filled with educational programming and entertainment. On Friday, March 17, the Austin Spurs come to town on St. Patrick’s Day.
Following the All-Star Break in February, the Windy City Bulls will hit the road for a five-game West Coast road swing before returning home on Friday, March 3 to host the Grand Rapids Drive, the first of ten home games scheduled for the final month of the season. The Windy City Bulls will complete the regular season at home on Saturday, April 1 against the Maine Red Claws.
Windy City has reached an agreement with the Illinois Media School to provide personnel for broadcast production of the team’s home games. Fans will be able to watch every Bulls home and away game on YouTube, as part of the NBADL’s agreement with the video site, while home game audio broadcasts will be available on the IMS’ dedicated streaming site,www.SportsTownChicago.com.
